Allison Plunkett, MSW, LCSW
Allison Plunkett is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a dedication to helping clients heal from many types of mental health struggles, especially anxiety, trauma, and depression. With a background in serving clients with various needs in multiple settings as well as an EMDR certification, Allison brings a holistic perspective to her practice.

With over five years of hands-on experience in the field, Allison has built upon her skills in providing care that is both person-centered and trauma-informed. She is committed to helping her clients learn, heal, and thrive.

Allison earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons University and has developed a thorough understanding of human behavior and the various factors that can have an impact on one’s mental health. Her education has provided her with a wealth of knowledge in evidence-based practices, which she is able to implement with the client acting as a partner in the therapeutic relationship.

Allison’s approach to therapy is characterized by her consistent empathy and understanding, which helps to create a safe space in which clients can begin to process and work through real issues. She works with each client to create a plan for treatment that is specifically tailored to their needs. Allison is skilled in several different treatment interventions, including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy.

Allison is committed to helping her clients navigate their journey toward better mental health. Her goal is to empower clients to utilize healthy coping skills and supportive resources, all while developing and building upon their own strengths. She is passionate about being a social worker, which means helping clients reach their full potential and heal in ways that may have previously felt difficult or impossible. By working in collaboration with Allison, you’ll set out to gain insight into your own mental health and achieve a general sense of peace and healing.
